This is the most important month of 2021 for ~95% of professional Dota 2 players. Team Secret and the like will all be fine (probably) but the rest of you have work to do.

TI10 has a different qualification format this year.

There are 16 potential teams, 80 players, per region, that will be able to play in TI qualifiers. Those teams will be determined SOON.

There are no open qualifiers.

As of Tuesday, April 6th at 12:00 PST teams in the DPC will no longer be able to drop players before Season 2.

As of Sunday, April 11th at 12:00 PST if you are not on a team in either Division 1 or Division 2 of the DPC, you are fucked. Unless…

Consider the notable free agents. Off the top of my head:
Sumail
Ramzes
Ana
BoraNija
ILTW
& every other player that isn’t qualified for the DPC as of Sunday, April 11th.

If they are not on a team by that date, do you REALLY think they’re just going to sit this one out? A $40,000,000 tournament?

Roster changes can still occur during/after the Second DPC Season/Major. You can still be dropped from your team until June 15th, 2021 at 12:00 PST.

If replaced during/after Season 2 of the DPC your only chance of playing in the qualifiers for TI would be to continue the circle of suck and take someone else’s spot on a previously qualified team.

Nobody wants to be that guy.

Are you confident in your team? Are there changes you think you should make? Don’t be an asshole; think about it NOW.

If you wish to part ways with an ally, be a good human and be sure they have a least a couple weeks to prepare a team to compete; these DPC Division 2 qualifiers are the TI10 open qualifiers.

If you make it into this season, be smart and sign a contract together. Guarantee that your team really is “the” team for this TI. No take-baksies.

And before you say there’s no way it could happen to you — I was also pretty damn sure I part of “the” team back in 2018. You could be wrong too.
